I've been working in the NZ water industry for over 20 years. In that time we've hardly changed how we market and sell products & services at the lower end of the procurement scale.
Buyers are predominantly councils. They seem to have less frontline staff, yet more work. They don't have time to research what's out there, so tend to stick with what and who they know, missing out on competition and innovation. Its tough for businesses to access this market. They fly around the country and go on road-trips to get in front of those council staff. Or they spend loads on conference stands in the hope that some frontline staff might actually be there. It's all really inefficient.
What do we do with the depreciated gear that gets replaced? It usually ends up in landfill. Renewals are vital but there is a secondary market for a lot of that pre-used gear that we simply ignore. More inefficiency.
I've made a career out of using technology to work smarter. I wanted to use that experience to tackle both of these issues. And here we are...
Jason Colton - Founder
To help councils and contractors in New Zealand efficiently procure goods and services under $100k by providing a platform that connects buyers and sellers, streamlines quoting and purchasing, and promotes sustainability through reselling.
We've designed a platform to facilitate the buying, selling and re-selling of products and services in the NZ water industry. It's a unique approach designed to give buyers a one-stop shop for finding and buying whatever they need.
We've built the platform and are continuing to onboard sellers. Like a shopping mall adding tenants. Our goal is to get enough sellers to make it a no-brainer for all councils to use us.
We've made finding, getting pricing, and buying goods & services faster and easier. That saves buyers time.
It means buyers can have access to the whole market, including new products, new services and new businesses. That introduces more competition and unlocks innovation, giving communities better value for money.
We've made sure that buyers can meet all their procurement rules and policies. That gives organisations more transparency.
Buyers can also help other buyers by leaving reviews on products or services they have purchased. That helps regulate the market and ensures that quality is rewarded.
We've made it easier to get in front of buyers from across the country. Our large digital marketing funnel brings the buyers to our marketplace. That gives suppliers great market penetration at low cost.
We've made it easy to set-up a shop on our marketplace, where suppliers can display their products and/or services. Our platform addresses all the challenges of selling online to council buyers. That saves suppliers time and money.
Learn more about our supplier benefits hereCouncils can create free seller accounts and list their depreciated, pre-used gear, for sale. Or they might just want the cost of delivery covered. Other councils, companies, or private suppliers might have a use for it. That's got to be better than just sending it to landfill right?
There's a secondary market for instruments, PLCs, pumps, membrane modules and a whole lot more.
If all you want is a potential buyer to find you, visit your website, or call you, have you thought of paying a couple of k for a directory website? Or you could just sign-up and open a shop for free and get in front of all the traffic that we bring. You don't have to fill it with your products and services, you can just use your shopfront to achieve what you want. Did we mention that it's free to do that?
